Overview

At Thrive Diabetes we believe every person is unique in their requests when seeing a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE). Appointments will be tailored to suit your needs, situation, and current health status

Different learning styles suit different people so we think it is vital that we customize diabetes education around you instead of giving one size fits all, generic advice.
Private education does come with a small out of pocket expense, as there is minimal government support for sustaining this private practice. It will be money well spent and you can expect results; ask yourself, can you put a price on your health?

Mobile Services are also available at an additional cost for those unable to attend the centre and we offer Skype consultations for rural and remote people to save you time and money to travel to appointments.

Please see your Doctor as you may be eligible for a Team Care Arrangement (TCA)/Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) or Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA) referral. This may then entitle you to a Medicare rebate. Check your Private Health Fund as you may also be eligible for reimbursement with your cover

INITIAL APPOINTMENT:

Initial appointments are up to a one hour consultation
General patient – no referral:	$125 (may be eligible for Private Health Fund rebate)
General patient – with referral*	$125 ($52.95 from Medicare/Gap $77.05)
Concession/Health Care Card patient – no referral:	$95 (may be eligible for Private Health Fund rebate)

REVIEW APPOINTMENT:

Review appointments are up to a one hour consultation
General patient – no referral:	$95 (may be eligible for Private Health Fund rebate)

Concession/Health Care Card patient – no referral:	$65 (may be eligible for Private Health Fund rebate)

Short review appointments are up to 30 minute consultations

INSULIN START APPOINTMENT:

This appointment is education on starting insulin for the first time.
Cost for all customers is $55 no rebates available.

SKYPE APPOINTMENTS:

Skype appointments are charged at the same fee schedule listed above.

MOBILE SERVICE FEES:

Prices are charged on an individual basis, depending upon distance and time requirements.
